That's right. They're here. GET 'EM NOW.

These shirts are absolutely dandy, folks. The artist/designer is the awesome [livejournal.com profile] vito_excalibur, and when her email hit my inbox I went from zero to happy in about a tenth of a second. Look at this:

People, that is *beautiful.* You may now wear, on your chest, a depiction of the immortal scene in GHOST in which Mike's plans to engage in kinky BDSM/slavery scenes with nubile coeds Courtney and Pam are thoroughly discussed among Mike, the girls, *and the girls' moms.* From left to right: Abigail, Courtney's mother, discusses unconventional uses for gardening displays; our hero, Mike Harmon, is a smug bastard who's about to get laid left, right, and center (again); and Courtney and Pam recoil in utter horror as they find themselves learning more about their parents' sex lives than anyone should ever know. And, of course, emblazoned across the top: OH JOHN RINGO NO. Short-sleeved shirts are in dark red and navy blue; long-sleeve, women's cuts, and plus sizes are in black, because that's about all we're offered. This may be a limited edition, so if you're interested, order now.

Proceeds from the shirts benefit the Helen Bamber Foundation -- special thanks to [livejournal.com profile] angevin2 for mentioning this charity in comments to the original post, and to John Ringo for giving the thumbs-up to the project and the charity. The donation(s) will be made in the name of Captain Tamara Long, USAF (1979-2003) -- John Ringo, and his readers, will know why.

Please use comments to tell [livejournal.com profile] vito_excalibur that she is awesome.

The fact that they come in maternity sizes is wrong on so many levels.

*cough* Well, I did ask. Although I think the pictures probably push it over the edge from "cute thing the daycare teachers will scratch their heads about" (she has lots of those) to "I will get phone calls. Lots of phone calls."

Which isn't to say I'm not getting one for myself ;).

Keep in mind my greatest regret with Child was he was too old by the time I had regular internet access to get him a "Damn Dingos Are Never Around When You Want Them" onesie (paraphrased; I can't remember the exact saying, but it was something like that). I keep wanting to get my sister one I saw that says something like "I am the reason Daddy drinks at night", because my sister and her husband would love it.

Nothing would make me happier, and more deeply disturbed, than to see children toddling around wearing "OH JOHN RINGO NO" shirts.

Well, maybe a "Whoreverine" shirt featuring Katya and her poisoned fingernails...

Thanks for the order! I'll be tickled pink if anything near the number of people who expressed interest actually winds up buying 'em. If nothing else, it'll be nice to see a few of these wandering around.

Worst I've ever seen on a thong...

In red, of course. I was one of the fen who pushed him to publish. That, and stuffing the ballot box for the Preditors and Editors Romance poll, have since earned me a gruesome death.

As I mentioned on vito's LJ about the design (where I asked a question about the design), I'm probably going to get one of these, once I find the free money.

However, I'm wondering why CafePress was chosen. I'm not really up on the whole custom product e-commerce scene, so I don't know if they're the only option, but the quality of CP materials leaves something to be desired, to put it mildly. I had a mug and a shirt from them (different subjects), and both started fading after the first few washes, with the shirt showing signs that it's highly unlikely to last long enough to pass on to others (if that was my desire).

Short answer: neither am I, so I went with the best-known entity.

Really? I've had very good luck with Cafe Press; I got a t-shirt made there and my boyfriend got the identical design (http://vito-excalibur.livejournal.com/44235.html) at a couple of other online t-shirt places and they've both cracked and become awful while my Cafe Press shirt is still going strong. I'm annoyed with them for shutting down my sale within like half an hour, but I have no problems with their quality.

The two items I mentioned above were my only personal experience with them, but experiences of others whose opinions bear some weight with me have tended towards being less than pleasant, in regards to CP. I'll grant you, though, that the singular of "data" isn't "anecdote". It's possible, I suppose, that they could've changed suppliers between now and several years ago, when I got the items in question.

I can only say that I've gotten several onesies from them, and thus far, they've held up to a baby, which is some serious quality testing, right there.

YOU NEED A BOOK

A POEM EVERY DAY

The collected poems from my descent into madness year spent writing daily poems are now available from Lulu as the cheapest 330-page book they would let me make ($16.20). If that's too pricey, you can also get it from Lulu as a free download, or just click on the "a poem every day" tag to read them here. But if you did buy one, that'd be awesome.
